On December 22, 2021, “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” Autonomous Educational Organization completed a series of round tables within the framework of “Education in a new Reality” project. The project was dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the outstanding educator and enlightener Ybyray Altynsarin.
More than 1000 participants joined the final round table discussion “From mass standardization to mass personalization: new requirements in the labor market”, organized by the Centre for Educational Programmes.
Local and international experts shared their views on the topic of the future of education in the realities of the modern era of personalization and artificial intelligence development. The speakers discussed the new requirements of the labor market, as well as the key competencies and skills to be developed in children nowadays.
The participants of the round table were also presented with a film prepared by the Centre for Educational Programmes – “Uly Ustaz salgan sara Zhol” (The Heritage of the Great Teacher). The film discusses the works of Ybyray Altynsarin, where the scholar writes how schools should meet the individual needs of students.
Webinars on the development students’ project activities and research skills to implement elective courses for 10-11 grade teachers of “Specialized boarding school-lyceum Intellectual”
As a part of “Support in the development of secondary education in Atyrau region” project, Centre for educational programmes have developed 17 programmes for elective courses in the Kazakh and Russian languages. The mathematics and science, linguistic and social and human strands of elective courses aimed at enhancing and improving the content of high school subjects.
On 22-25 November, 2021 the Centre employees conducted the webinar for 10-11 Grade teachers of “Specialized boarding school-lyceum Intellectual” on the developed elective courses through the organization of project activities, development of students’ research skills, experimental works.
During the webinar teachers were introduced with the content of the elective courses, their features and structure.
Training on Transforming Learning Environment at school.
On November 25-26, 2021 as a part of “Support in the development of the secondary education system in Atyrau region” there was a training on Transforming Learning Environment for Education department staff members and school leaders in Atyrau region. 116 people participated in training.
The staff members of NIS AEO, Centre for Educational Programmes, Information technology centre and NIS service organized a series of lectures and workshops on improving the learning environment in its broader sense.
Galiya Alzhanova, an expert of CEP, conducted a session on “Planning the learning environment to implement the renewed education content effectively”. The workshop addressed the issues on classroom requirements, classroom needs for multigraded schools, list of equipment for rural and urban schools, components of learning environments. The workshop demonstrated how to arrange the learning environment for experiments and creative work using available materials and how to decorate school walls and halls using the least possible means. The teachers shared their experience and ideas on the work done.
The workshop participants considered this event to be informative and relevant.
Participation on the First KIX Education Policy and Innovation Conference

The second stage of training webinars for teachers of Grades 9-10 of Ziatker specialised boarding school in Atyrau
On October 11-12, the subject coordinators of Centre for Educational Programmes conducted the second stage of training webinars for teachers of Grades 9-10 of Ziatker Specialised Boarding School in Atyrau within the project “Support in the development of the secondary education system of Atyrau region”.
The webinars were focused on lesson preparation. They discussed the issues of setting lesson objectives, planning the lesson, and lesson stages.
During the webinars, teachers took an active part in practice of lesson planning, developing tasks based on active learning methods. As a result of the webinars, the participants provided feedback, emphasising the benefits of the webinars, and expressed the willingness to apply the acquired knowledge in their teaching practice.
