Delivering webinars for Grade 9-10 teachers of Specialised Lyceum Boarding School “Intellectual” in Atyrau

On the 2nd and 3rd of September Subject Coordinators of the Centre for Educational Programmes delivered webinars on the specifics of implementation of subject programmes with the renewed content of education for Grade 9-11 teachers of the Intellectual school. The webinar was delivered under the “Assistance in the development of the secondary education system of Atyrau region” project.

The webinar covered the following topics: development of speaking and reading skills; academic writing; introduction of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL); development of mathematical, scientific and digital literacy; course in practical activities; workshop on programming; development of historical thinking of students and research activities in the history classes.

It is worthwhile to note that 17 elective courses in science and math, linguistics and social science in Kazakh and Russian were developed and delivered under the Project for Specialized Lyceum Boarding School “Intellectual” in order to widen and extend the content of upper-secondary school subjects. It is also planned to train school teachers in October 2021 within the developed elective courses.
