Research monitoring implementation process of updated Educational Programme NIS-Programme of the Autonomous Educational Organisation «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools»
In the period from 10 to 14 February of the current year, research monitoring of the implementation of the Educational Programme NIS-Programme 2.0 was conducted in grades 7-8 of the secondary school.
Place of monitoring and training sessions: Intellectual schools of Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aktobe, Uralsk, Atyrau, Almaty, Kyzylorda, Turkistan cities.
Target audience: Administration, Teaching staff, School students.
Research methods:
- observation of lessons;
- analyses of short-term lesson plans and handouts;
- interviews with pupils and teachers;
- analyses of school documentation (lesson observation sheets within the framework of in-school monitoring and self-attendance of lessons by teachers).
It also assessed the effectiveness of achieving learning objectives, identified factors hindering the implementation of curricula, and analysed teaching methods and their impact on students’ educational outcomes.
During the school visits, it was noted that teachers are actively working on developing functional literacy in school students. Teachers strive to introduce problem-based learning, use inquiry-based approaches, apply active teaching methods and focus on activity-based learning. Further support in these areas will contribute to even more effective implementation of the updated programme and the achievement of the educational goals.
