Samat Kalmenov
Head of Analysis, Research and Project Management Department
Samat Kalmenov has been working in Centre for Educational Programmes of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO since March 28, 2016.
He began his career in 2001 as a teacher of English at English Linguistics Department, Faculty of Philology, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
In the period from 2004 to 2005, he coordinated the USAID-funded Bereke project.
In 2005, he worked as an English language teacher at the Kazakh-Turkish boarding school for gifted boys in Shymkent.
In 2006 – 2007, he worked as the coordinator of Bereke project.
From 2008 to 2010, he coordinated the USAID-funded project on improving the business environment.
2010 – 2012 – administrative director of ZHSS LLP. In 2012, he worked as an English teacher at Nurorda school in Astana.
From 2013 to 2015, he pursued master’s studies within Bolashak international scholarship programme.
2016 – 2020 Senior manager of Linguistics department of Centre for Educational Programmes, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO.

2015 – Master’s degree in Higher Education Management and Policy, University of California, USA.
Information about Department
Analysis, Research and Project Management Department has been functioning as part of Centre for Educational Programmes since 2014.
The main tasks of the Department include the implementation of projects, the development of project concepts, the fundamental scientific research, the improvement of monitoring methods and procedures, the analysis and scientific and theoretical generalization of data.
