Workshop with the participation of the OECD expert Dr. Phil Lambert

From March 3 to 5, 2020, the workshop was held for staff members of the Center of Educational Programs (CEP) with the participation of Phil Lambert, the OECD expert.

The three-day training program is aimed at strengthening the skills of subject specialists in reducing the gap between the intended and implemented curriculum through the prism of developing learners’ meta-subject skills.

The program of the first day included discussion of the key elements of the current monitoring of the NIS-program implementation at Intellectual schools. Subject specialists had opportunity to discuss specific monitoring issues, get feedback and recommendations from the expert.

The following two days were devoted to strategies for developing meta-subject skills, such as creative and critical thinking, information and communication skills, interaction, and problem solving. Participants performed non-standard tasks to determine the elements and sub-elements of meta-subject skills in their subject areas. As a result of the workshop, the participants were handed certificates
